The plan for this Double-A side single, "This Time Around / Earth Song",
was to be released around the time the Michael Jackson HBO Special
(December 10, 1995) was to be aired.
However, the commercial release of the single in the U.S. was canceled
due to factors: MJ's cancellation of his HBO special due to his illness;
and lack of airplay for both songs.
"Earth Song" was a disastrous flop on the pop charts, failing to chart
on the Hot 100 Airplay or any other airplay chart.
"This Time Around" also failed to chart on the Hot 100 Airplay chart,
although it did peak at No. 23 on the Hot R&B Airplay chart.
On the Club Play chart, "This Time Around / Earth Song" peaked at No. 18.
Tracks 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 have never been released commercially.
"This Time Around [D.M. Radio Mix]" can be found on the CD and cassette
editions of "Blood On The Dancefloor - HIStory In The Mix".
"This Time Around [D.M. Mad Club Mix]" can be found on the vinyl edition
of "Blood On The Dancefloor - HIStory In The Mix".
